PASSAGE: Project Notes

I have been working on the techniques for creating these images for many years.

Most images are shot from a tripod and exposures vary from 1/4 second to 10 seconds. For longer exposures I often use neutral density or polarizing filters to compensate for over exposure.

All creative affects are created in camera, as always, in my magic box. No digital manipulation is used prior to printing other than exposure adjustment, color balance and contrast levels.

Images are available as archival, pigmented ink prints. They are printed with Epson Ultrachrome K3 Inks on Museo Portfolio Rag Fine Art Paper. This paper was selected after much research and studio testing. It is lush and rich delivering extraordinary detail along with high D-max and superior tonal range. It is acid-free, OBA-free, 100% cotton, lignin-free and buffered.

I chose this paper in order to meet my artistic vision and to achieve maximum longevity. It has substantial weight and a lush matte finish.
